As per a recent article in the Irish Examiner, farmers are urged to take part in an agriculture crime survey.
The survey, the first of its kind hopes to assess the impact of rural crime on in the agricultural community.
The true nature and extent of crime in this area is not fully known as we all know not all agricultural crime is reported. All participants are to be assured that the responses will be treated as anonymous and the data collected will be used to help farmers & authorities make informed decisions regarding what if any resources in the area and hopefully help implement strategies to address such crime.
Seamus Sherlock, Rural Development Committee Chairman, is urging all farmers to take part and the survey can be found at www.icsaireland.ie
